Himpunan Mahasiswa Pascasarjana (Postgraduate Student Association, or HMP) of the Master’s and Doctoral Programs at the Faculty of Animal Science Universitas Gadjah Mada (Fapet UGM) officially inaugurated its new executive board on Friday (27/2). The handover and inauguration ceremony of the HMP executive committee for the 2026/2027 period was attended by Ir. R. Ahmad Romadhoni Surya Putra, S.Pt., M.Sc., Ph.D., IPM., ASEAN Eng., as Vice Dean for Academic and Student Affairs; Prof. Ir. Diah Tri Widayati, MP., Ph.D., IPU., ASEAN Eng., as the Head of the Doctoral Program; and Dr. Ir. Endy Triyannanto, S.Pt., M.Eng., IPM., ASEAN Eng., as the Head of the Master’s Program. Dr. Ir. Dimas Hand Vidya Paradhipta, S.Pt., M.Sc., Ph.D., IPP., Secretary of the Master’s Postgraduate Program at Fapet UGM, was also among those present.
In his speech, Ir. R. Ahmad Romadhoni Surya Putra conveyed a message to the new HMP board regarding the importance of active involvement in the organization. He emphasized that student organizations serve as a strategic platform for sharpening leadership skills, developing soft skills, and expanding networks through collaboration with various parties.
“Innovation should also be fostered through various programs that can deliver real contributions to the progress of Fapet UGM and the advancement of the livestock science sector in Indonesia,” Romadhoni said.
The inauguration marks the start of a new chapter for the HMP board as it rolls out a range of work programs aimed at supporting academic activities and postgraduate student development. Through a solid and collaborative executive board, HMP is expected to serve as a platform for aspirations, communication, and student potential development. With a spirit of togetherness, the organization is expected to contribute to creating a dynamic, productive academic environment that has a positive impact on the academic community of the Faculty of Animal Science UGM.
Furthermore, the newly elected Chair of the HMP Doctoral Program in Animal Science is Makmun Murod, while Chairul Balya has been named Chair of the HMP Master’s Program.
