Thursday (4/10/18) Garaduate Program Faculty of Animal Science UGM arranged academic workshop on the Outcome Based Education (OBE), attended by lecturers at Faculty of Animal Science UGM. The Head of Quality Assurance Faculty of Animal Science UGM, Ir. Edi Suryanto M.Sc., Ph.D., IPU. said that the workshop was intended to perfecting the existing learning process. OBE is one of approaches to prepare students with the demands of the working world, including to face industry 4.0 era.
During the agenda, lecturers were trained on formulating module handbook and course material document. Those two documents will be components in equipping of each course implementation. The module handbook itself comprises not only syllabus of each course, but also the weekly lecture plan to the student assessment method that will be done on each course.
Met in the same event, the Secretary of Study Program of Master in Animal Science, Ir. Nafiatul Umami, S.Pt., M.P., Ph.D., IPM. explained that graduate programs in Faculty of Animal Science have been implementing the latest curriculum (Curriculum 2018) since the odd semester of 2018/2019 academic year. The curriculum is a result of curriculum evaluation that has been arranged based on stakeholders’, graduates’ users, and alumni input. Hence, module handbook and course material documents are essential in succeeding the implementation of that curriculum. (sj)
